Dingdong Dantes

ITHOUT really trying, Karylle's boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes has got the approval of Karylle's parents, including her relatives in the U.S. When mom Zsa Zsa Padilla saw her daughter doing duet with Dingdong on TV, she's so "kilig."

"Why, they look so good together," gushes Karylle's mom, no less.

The funny thing, according to Karylle, is she and Dingdong don't really have much in common.

For one thing, she is a singer and he's a dancer.  "He also likes to watch movies more than me," laughs Karylle. "He is also very active, my opposite,  although I did try kickboxing once."

As if to prove his support for her, Dingdong even agreed to take up singing lessons just so he could do a duet with Karylle on her latest album.

The song, entitled "Hiling" (which Karylle wrote herself) is about a girl  wishing for love. The Dingdong-Karylle duet is part of the packaged album "You Make  Me Sing," released recently by Universal Records. The song even has a music video starring the two of them. It was shot in Canyon Woods, near Batangas and Tagaytay border. Very soon, you should see that music video on TV.

Career-wise, 2005 really did seem to be Karylle's breakout year. Aside from releasing a new album, she was also given the chance to  star in "Encantadia"  and later on in "Etheria."

On her own, she shines even with much connecting her to her famous mom,
